Kyle Christiansen

P.E
Senior Fire Protection Engineer

Kyle is a licensed fire protection engineer with more than fourteen years of experience delivering risk-informed fire protection solutions across the nuclear, industrial, energy, and commercial sectors. His work is centred on helping clients navigate technically complex environments where fire safety decisions require both rigorous analysis and sound engineering judgement.

His expertise includes probabilistic risk analysis, fire hazards analysis, hazard mitigation analysis, quantitative risk assessments, and performance-based design. Throughout his career, Kyle has specialized in evaluating high-consequence scenarios where prescriptive compliance alone is insufficient, developing strategies that use modelling and risk evaluation to guide clear, defensible decisions.

His project experience spans battery energy storage systems, LNG facilities, industrial terminals, hydro infrastructure, and nuclear applications across North America.

Kyle is recognized for his ability to translate uncertainty into practical engineering direction, bringing clarity to projects where the stakes are high and the technical path forward demands deeper foresight. In addition to his consulting work, he has led technical teams, mentored junior engineers, and contributed to advancing best practices in fire risk methodology within the organizations he has served.
