Project Engineer
Mathilde has over 15 years of industry experience in fire safety engineering and code consulting, from concept design to construction completion. She previously worked as a building surveyor in France and provided fire safety design on a wide range of projects while working in New Zealand and Canada, including retail, office, hotel, residential, assembly, education, healthcare, high-rise and heritage buildings.
Mathilde also has experience developing holistic fire engineering solutions, including atria, complex staged evacuation strategies and extended travel distances. She has carried out ASET vs. RSET analysis using modelling software or hand calculations and has assessed the performance of smoke control systems using CFD and the radiation impact on adjacent properties.
Mathilde is a member of the NFPA technical committee for Fire Risk Assessment Methods (shared committee for NFPA 550 Guide to the Fire Safety Concepts Tree and NFPA 551 Guide for the Evaluation of Fire Risk Assessments).
